This telephoto zoom lens is designed with Canon's Optical Image Stabilizer technology while retaining compactness and lightness, in response to demands of photographers. Most photographers move up to a DSLR camera because of the interchangeable lens possibilities and the other professional controls that are not available on the digital compact cameras, so the video capability, while attractive, is not a major consideration. Why not use the 0 you save by purchasing the Canon Rebel XSi instead of the T1i to add an external flash or a tripod to give you more flexibility in your photography?

±1±: Best Buy I was skeptical if this would work but for the price difference I was willing to take a chance.

When the camera is put in remote mode this remote does a great job of triggering the shutter. The Magic Lantern Guides: Canon EOS 7D)does a great job of explaining how to get the camera into receive mode and the advantages of using the 2S button vs. just the shutter release. The manual that comes with the camera explains it as well but I feel the Magic Lantern Guide does a much better job.

This is a great tool for when shooting in live mode.

The one draw back is that I found I had to reach in front of the camera in order of the camera to receive the signal from the remote. At first I was worried that the remote was not working. But moving the remote to side of the camera took care of that problem. on Sale!
